Who is responsible
SmartnCV, operated by Nikita Telrandhe, is responsible for the personal information processed through this service. You can raise a privacy question or rights request through the contact and data-deletion page.
Information we process
- Guest analysis: the CV, job description, extracted text and filenames you submit.
- CV builder: the information you type into a draft, which is saved only in your own browser unless you choose to run a job match.
- Contact requests: your name, email address, request type and message.
- Service operation: limited technical request information needed by the hosting service to deliver and protect the website.
- Product measurement: the event type, general page path or input method, event time and whether activity came from the authenticated owner during testing. Builder measurement includes completed drafts and PDF export actions, but not the draft content.
- Usage counter: one aggregate total of completed analyses, without CV text, filenames or user identity.
Why we process it
Guest documents are processed because you ask SmartnCV to produce a match report. Contact information is used to answer your request. Limited technical and aggregate information supports service security, reliability and measurement. Product events help SmartnCV understand whether core features work and document genuine service growth.
Automatic deletion after analysis
Uploaded CV and job-description files, together with their extracted text, are processed for the current request and automatically discarded when the analysis finishes. They are not written to SmartnCV's user database or sold.
A builder draft is different: it remains in your browser on that device until you select Start a new CV or clear the website's stored data.
Sharing, selling and model training
SmartnCV does not sell CV information. Guest documents are not used to train an AI model. The hosting provider processes technical information needed to run and secure the service; SmartnCV does not disclose CV content to advertisers or data brokers.
Privacy-safe product measurement
SmartnCV's product-event table does not store CV text, job-description text, filenames, email addresses, IP addresses or a browser identifier. It records page views and core product events as aggregate activity. It therefore does not claim that page views represent unique people. Authenticated owner activity is labelled as test data and excluded from public product totals.
How long information is kept
Guest documents and extracted text are discarded after the analysis request. Builder drafts remain only on your device until you clear them. Contact-request information is kept only while it is needed to respond, protect the service or meet a legal obligation. Limited product-event records are automatically removed after 24 months. The anonymous completed-check total and exported monthly aggregates may be retained as service-history records.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of personal information. Submit a request through the contact page. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Keep unnecessary details out
Before uploading, remove passport numbers, National Insurance numbers, banking information and any sensitive personal information that is not needed for the job application.
