SmartnCV is designed to support your judgement, not replace it.
Is the SmartnCV percentage an employer ATS score?
No. There is no universal ATS score. SmartnCV provides an explainable estimate using the supplied CV and job description; employers use different systems and selection methods.
Why do I need to add the job description?
The vacancy gives SmartnCV the role-specific responsibilities, skills and qualifications needed for comparison. A CV cannot be meaningfully matched to a job without knowing what that job requires.
Which files can I upload?
You can upload a PDF or DOCX CV up to 5 MB. The job description can be pasted or uploaded as a PDF, DOCX or TXT file. Scanned image-only PDFs are not currently supported.
Does SmartnCV save my guest documents?
No. Uploaded CV and job-description files are processed for the requested analysis and automatically discarded when the analysis finishes. Builder drafts are different: they remain only in your browser until you clear them.
Can a high score guarantee an interview?
No. A match estimate can help you review alignment, but it cannot predict a hiring decision. Recruiters also consider context, competition, communication and many factors outside a CV.
